For hair masks

1. Place 2–4 tablespoons of Amla Powder into a clean, non-metal bowl (adjust for hair length and thickness).
   
2. Gradually add lukewarm water, stirring until you obtain a smooth, yoghurt-like paste.
   
3. You can use it as a straightforward amla powder hair mask, or combine it with other herbs such as Shikakai powder or a little Henna if they are already part of your routine.
   
4. Apply to slightly damp hair and scalp, section by section, so that the paste is evenly distributed.
   
5. Cover with a shower cap and leave for around 15–30 minutes, avoiding complete dryness.
   
6. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, then shampoo and condition as usual.

Begin with about once a week and adjust depending on how your hair responds.

For scalp-focused use

1. Mix a smaller amount of amla powder for hair and scalp with water to form a smooth, spreadable paste.
   
2. Apply gently to the scalp using your fingertips or a brush, focusing on areas that feel heavy or in need of attention.
   
3. Leave for 10–20 minutes, then rinse, shampoo and condition as normal.

Start with shorter timings and adjust based on comfort.

For face & body masks

1. For a basic amla powder face mask, add 1–2 teaspoons of Amla Powder to a bowl.
   
2. Add enough water (or a mild hydrosol) to make a soft, lump-free paste.
   
3. Apply a thin, even layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye and lip area.
   
4. Leave on for about 5–10 minutes. If the mask begins to feel tight or uncomfortable, rinse earlier.
   
5. Rinse with lukewarm water, pat dry and follow with your usual moisturiser or body lotion.
   

Use 1–2 times per week, depending on how your skin feels.
